First things first: Marvellous program! After PowerGrid died I was looking for a substitute and Panels is exactly what I needed. Took a bit longer to put things together, but that was mostly because of the lack of assets. So I scavenged a bit on the net and photoshopped some images and pieced together a panel for use with Elite: Dangerous. I gotta say, it's much better than my old one I created with PowerGrid!
Given that Panels is still in development, I guess you would like to have some feedback:
- BUG: Buttons stretch downwards and resize when pushed on my tablet. Every tap stretches them more. When I change view and then go back the buttons snap back but also resize. I didn't fill all of the panel with buttons but left some free space, by the way. I'm using an Android tablet.
EDIT: just tested and it works on my Android phone but not on my tablet, which is a Kindle FIRE actually with an added app store for Google. Would love to have a fix for this. Tell me if you need more info.
I would love to have following functions:
- Move buttons past others: When moving buttons via CTRL [arrow] I have to maneuver around other buttons at the moment. It would be lovely to be able to just jump over existing buttons to make it easier to rearrange them on a panel.
- When copying a button, keypresses and functions don't carry over, would be great if they would.
- More options for text. Like choosing font, size and position.
- Being able to change size, position and tint for button images as well.
- Resizing the space in the panel editor to approximately match my tablets dimensions. Or a function to preview the created panel on said dimensions.
- Panels not being associated with programs. When I created my Elite panel I always had to leave the game running to be able to preview changes on my tablet. I don't really see the benefit of that function actually, it's just a restriction for me.
- The ability to pick the panel I want to use from the list instead of having it run automatically when running the associated program. Would also help with having multiple panels for the same program.
- Renaming panels.
- A key binding type for registering mouse clicks and perhaps even gamepad/HOTAS keys.
- The other cool functions the other kids requested.
I am sure I forgot somehting, but this is it so far.
Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for the feedback!
Regarding the Kindle FIRE tablet, I'll do my best to try to resolve this, though I might need your feedback since I don't actually have one of those. I'll start taking a look this weekend to see if there's any workarounds I can find. Sorry about that!
Regarding the suggestions
1. Moving Buttons "past" others. -I never considered this, but you're right that this would make things much easier. I'll take a look at how complex that would be to add, but I suspect it wouldn't be too difficult
2. More options for text - Working on it :-)
3. Being able to change the size, position, and "tint" for buttons. - I'm definitely working on adding a "padding" for buttons right now, so that you can kind of adjust the relative size of the image within the button. I'll look into the "tint" and "position" ideas, but I don't know how complex that would be right now. Definitely good suggestions though.
4. Resizing the space in the panel editor to approximately match tablet dimensions - Unfortunately, I don't know the dimensions of the tablet you're using while you're editing the grid, and there's no good way of finding it out. What I am planning on doing is adding a "Live Preview" like feature, where if your tablet is connected while you're editing your Panel, you'll see the updates come up in real time on the tablet. That way, you'll know right away what it looks like. That's on my roadmap right now.
5 and 6. Panels not being associated with programs - Working on it
7. Renaming Panels - That's one of those things that should be simple but is kinda tricky with the current setup, but definitely working on it. Right now the only way to "rename" a panel is to export it, change the name of the file, and re-import it. That's definitely way too tedious, so that should be in the next release or two.
8. Key bindings for mouse clicks and gamepad/HOTAS - This one is admittedly going to require some research on my part. It's not on my roadmap yet, but it's definitely a very highly requested feature. I just need to figure out how to do it lol.
Thanks so much for the support and kind words, and if you have any other suggestions please let me know!

Seems you're pretty busy. Concerning the trouble with my FIRE just ask and I can see if I can help debugging. Looking forward to the other features being added.
