Hi guys, I was having some trouble with installing the Panels app from the Microsoft Store. The download would only get halfway and stall at 6.11 MB, and after several attempts of rebooting and clearing the Store's cache I wasn't getting any further. I was halfway through writing a post on here for help when I thought of a fix to try and it worked. So I thought I'd post my experience here in the hopes that it might help someone else in the future, since I couldn't find anything relating to this problem already, or maybe the devs can implement a workaround if that's at all possible.
I remembered after several attempts, that I had my Windows Store default install directory changed from C:/ to D:/ due to not wanting to fill up my Windows drive with too much junk. Panels was defaulting itself to C:/ regardless of the default directory setting, and I thought this might've been causing a conflict somewhere. So I set my default Windows Store drive back to C:/, which fixed the issue and I was able to compete the download and install Panels instantly.
This probably isn't a major issue, and I don't know if it's something that can be fixed on the app side, or if it's more of a MS issue, but basically, if you're having trouble downloading the app from the MS store, check that your default installation directory is set to C:/.
