Ok, thanks again. I'm working on a Elite: Dangerous panel, I'll share it on the forum ASAP That'd be great! Thank you and let me know if you have any other questions. I'm happy everything is working now. Oh and if you're liking the app, please consider leaving a review on the App Store. It would really help with exposure. Thanks again! o7

Well fuck
So, I made the panel, yeah everything works, but then I accidentally switched my keyboard language to Russian. And I thought PanelsApp would cause the issue, so I closed it. Then I noticed my mistake and switched back. And I tried to launch the app (I had it on my taskbar) and the installer pops up. So I close the installer and try again. Nevermind the taskbar icon just vanished, exactly like the start menu entry. Reinstalled it and everything works fine again, but I guess when I shut down my PC now, it will vanish as aforementioned.
How can I prevent that?
o7, PanelsApp works great besides that.

You should definitely see a small window with a loading message that might look a little bit like an installer. This is checking with the "update server" to determine if you have the most up to date version of the application. If you see this again, do you mind sending me a screenshot of the installer you see when you try to reopen the application? Thanks

Do you happen to have any 3rd party anti-virus software? My "guess" is that sometime after the application is closed, the program itself is modified/moved/quarantined. When the application launcher is run again, it can't access the file and so prompts to reinstall.

Yeah I have avast antivirus. Guess I should set PanelsApp on the whitelist Yeah let's give that a try. I've digitally signed my software to ensure that the code is from me (and not some 3rd party attacker pretending to be me), but unfortunately I'm still small enough that most anti virus software won't trust me implicitly yet. One day lol

Sorry, totally forgot about this thread, it works fine now. I just had to uninstall avast and use avira AntiVir. Works perfectly now. Thank you very much for your patience and your advice!
